SOE has re-opened game services and has put up a page detailing the "Welcome Back Program" details at http://www.soe.com/welcomeback/.
The highlights for EQ2 players are:
Also; don't forget about the Identity Theft Protection program offering, details at http://www.soe.com/securityupdate/debix.vm.
See you in-game folks.
Its been 9 days now since SOE games have gone offline due to the security problems and there is, still, no official word on when services will be restored.
In fact, there has been little word from SOE at all aside from the recurring "Not Today" posts on Facebook and other SOE news portals.
There is some positive news though, in the service maintenance letter posted on May 3, which may have slipped by some folks:
"SOE will grant customers 30 days of additional time on their subscriptions, in addition to compensating them one day for each day the system is down."
The next line also states:
"It (SOE) is also in the process of outlining a "make good" plan for its PlayStation®3 MMOs (DC Universe Online and Free Realms)."
That last bit (seemingly) doesn't apply to SOE games like Everquest 2 and, also, there is no official word on what that "make good plan" will entail.
Update: SOE has published the "make good plan" details and will offer a free identity theft protection account (for 12 months) to all U.S. subscribers.
Everquest 2 subscribers will be seeing "A series of events, including Double XP, Double Guild XP, Loot Bonanza, and City Festivals" as part of the "make good plan".

You may have noticed that all SOE services are currently offline (and have been all day). This is directly related to the recent PlayStation Network security breach and it appears that it may have also impacted other SOE services, despite the fact that SOE had, originally, stated that this only affected the PlayStation Network.
A customer notice has been posted by SOE with further details of what is happening and this notice can be viewed here: http://www.soe.com/securityupdate/
It looks like we (on Guk) along with a few other servers can expect some shiny new hardware coming our way. There is no official date set for it but it does seem that the plan is "in the works".
